CSP-SM

Certified Scrum Professional – ScrumMaster (CSP-SM)

Self-Paced Programme

Earn your CSP-SM on your own schedule, with expert coaching and a community behind you

.

This is the Certified Scrum Professional – ScrumMaster course, the most advanced credential in the Scrum Alliance Scrum Master track, redesigned for experienced practitioners who want to deepen their mastery without stepping away from work for consecutive days. Instead of a fixed two-day class, you work through the official 2022 CSP-SM learning objectives at your own pace and evidence your understanding in a structured workbook, grounded throughout in the 2020 Scrum Guide.

How it works

You’ll work through the full set of CSP-SM learning objectives, capturing your responses and reflections in the learning objectives workbook (an Excel sheet we provide). As you go, you’ll join at least four fortnightly one-hour coaching sessions, where your work is reviewed and discussed with the trainer and your fellow students, a chance to test your thinking, ask questions, and learn from other experienced practitioners. Between sessions, our private Discord community keeps you connected: share your work, review each other’s, and talk through real challenges from your own teams.

You’re awarded the CSP-SM once you’ve:

  • had your learning objectives positively reviewed, and
  • attended at least four of the fortnightly coaching sessions.

On completion, you receive the Certified Scrum Professional – ScrumMaster credential from Scrum Alliance.

What you’ll cover

The programme spans the complete CSP-SM syllabus: Lean Thinking and how it applies to Scrum; advanced Scrum Master competencies across facilitation, coaching, and training; service to the Scrum Team through team dynamics, launching new teams, and improving team effectiveness; service to the Product Owner in structuring complex and multi-team Product Backlogs; service to the organisation through systemic change and scaling Scrum; and advanced Scrum Mastery, including your own path of continuous development and mentoring others.

Who it’s for

Experienced Scrum Masters ready to move from competent practice to genuine mastery, deepening how they serve their teams, their Product Owners, and their wider organisations.

Prerequisite: an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) certification (active or expired) and at least 24 months of work experience in a Scrum Master role within the past five years.
