Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM)
Self-Paced Programme
Earn your A-CSM on your own schedule, with expert coaching and a community behind you.
This is the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster course, redesigned for people who want to go deeper into their Scrum Master practice without stepping away from work for consecutive days. Instead of a fixed two-day class, you work through the official 2022 A-CSM learning objectives at your own pace and evidence your understanding in a structured workbook — grounded throughout in the 2020 Scrum Guide.
How it works
You’ll work through the full set of A-CSM learning objectives, capturing your responses and reflections in the learning objectives workbook (an Excel sheet we provide). As you go, you’ll join at least four fortnightly one-hour coaching sessions, where your work is reviewed and discussed with the trainer and your fellow students — a chance to test your thinking, ask questions, and learn from other practitioners. Between sessions, our private Discord community keeps you connected: share your work, review each other’s, and talk through real challenges from your own teams.
You’re awarded the A-CSM once you’ve:
- had your learning objectives positively reviewed, and
- attended at least four of the fortnightly coaching sessions.
On completion, you receive the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster credential from Scrum Alliance.
What you’ll cover
The programme spans the complete A-CSM syllabus: Lean, Agile, and Scrum foundations; core Scrum Master competencies in facilitation, coaching, and training; service to the Scrum Team, the Product Owner, and the organisation (including scaling and organisational change); and your own path toward Scrum Mastery as a true leader who serves.
Who it’s for
Practising Scrum Masters ready to move beyond the basics and sharpen how they serve their teams and organisations.
Prerequisite: an active Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification and at least 12 months of work experience in a Scrum Master role within the past five years.
